The current location was chosen to try to make sure Nate participates. Draft order is set: July Draft 2007. 7/16/06 - July Draft scheduled for July 21st. Time is tentative, but estimate would be 7 or 8pm. Location is also tentative, but estimate would be Chad and Nate's place. I will not be able to update this site again before the draft; please see Message Board for any further discussion regarding the draft. Oh yeah, draft order has been established - July Draft 2006. If you will not be able to attend (or call in or instant message), please forward your top 16 (or minimum necessary) picks to a trusted individual. Also, let me know who that individual is.

4/9/06 - New rosters have been posted. Many things need to be fixed/improved, but it has taken me far too long and I've wasted this afternoon. I will let you know when everything else is up and running, including the message board. I give up for today, though.

10/9/05 - Final statistics are posted for games through 10/2/05. Please review your team (and any opponent's teams) and "sign off" on the stats we have entered by 10/14/05 (Friday). League champion will be announced officially at that point.

7/4/05 - Rule Clarification needed. Rules state:
All Star Bonus: the team with the most players selected to be part of the National League All-Star team, as of the All-Star break, is awarded one point at the end of the season.
Does this mean that any drafts or trading (either in "real" baseball or within the Troyan Fantasy Baseball league) that might impact the total count by the end of the day next Sunday would be valid? Or, do we want to say that All Star totals are finalized as of the Mid Season stats, that are now posted? (Please Note: All Star counts are not finalized; Major League Baseball has an All Star Final Vote that is still up in the air?)
7/4/05 - July Draft Scheduled for July 10. Tentatively, we are thinking later morning; location to be determined (Chad & Nate's place would be the likely location). If you are going to be unable to attend, please submit a mock draft sheet to either Mike or someone you trust. A "mock draft sheet" is a list of players that a team would select in order of preference and with a length equaling the teams last draft pick.

Everyone I can't believe how good I am. Actually, I can't believe how bad you all are. Brad is in second, come on people, am I the only one who sees something wrong with this. Brad, you finally have Barry Bonds and you still aren't winning. There! are you happy that the trade where you claim to have gotten screwed wouldn't help you anyway. So after all these years, you can finally put it to rest. I realize some of you think it is to early in the season to be over. But you're wrong, you might as well give up just like the Indians should.

4/1/04 - Issue needing resolution:
The "Bastards" drafted Chris Stynes and put him at SS. League coordinator has no information showing that this player is eligible at this position.
Coordinator feels that this player should be released by the Bastards. And, in order to fairly allow all teams to obtain this player, he will not be available until July Draft. The Bastards should then select a replacement player AFTER Brad Adamsky selects his absentee team. Please submit any other suggestions to the group.

A printable version of each team (as well as the summary sheet) has been added to each corresponding page. They were loaded as .pdf files; please let the league coordinator know if that will be a problem for anyone.
Message from league coordinator:
I believe this resurrection of the original Troyan Fantasy Baseball League has been a decent success. I hope you guys agree. I would love to get some feedback on whether the website was adequate or not. I have every intention to do it again next year, assuming we have general interest. Based on some conversations, I have some ideas for modified rules, scoring, etc. Next time we get together we can talk about it. I may even post them on this site sometime over the next few months (if I do, I'll send out an email). Some of these changes are minor; at least one suggestion might cause a little bit of a stir (ha ha), but all of them are meant to enhance and distinguish our league. Talk to you all soon.
Finally, if anyone has anything they would like to post between now and next season, please feel free to submit it.
10/5/03 - Statistics Posted for games through 9/28/03 (Regular Season 2003). Final roster must be confirmed to the league coordinator by all teams no later than Wednesday 10/8/03. Upon receipt of final confirmation by all teams or on Thursday 10/9/03, final rankings will be announced.
9/14/03 - Statistics Posted for games through 9/12/03. Please review rosters to choose season ending rosters. Teams will have an opportunity to make changes after final statistics are posted, which will occur shortly after the regular season ends.
Batter and Pitcher lists still have not been updated. Alternate positions have not been updated (these will be updated at close of season for current season's positions played...if teams wish to consider previous season's positions played, please let league co-ordinator know).
8/21/03 - Statistics Posted for games through 8/18/03. League Coordinator attempted to pick "best possible team" for ALL teams. Please contact Mike to make any changes. Batter and Pitcher lists not updated.
7/27/03 - July Draft 2003 at Chad & Nate's apartment. Attendees: Chad, Nate, Mike. Lists submitted by Jim, Jason, and Brian. Consensus that majority of league was present "in spirit" so that "Official July Draft" rules applied. See July Draft 2003 results. Discussion about possible future rules occurred, including salary cap possibility for next season. Discussion about expanding league membership also took place.
7/15/03 - Mid Season rosters need to be finalized by Monday July 21, for July Draft selection order. Please send any changes to Mike. July Draft date is still To Be Determined. 4/12/03 - Proposal for Rule Change: League Coordinator proposes that the "Minimum Player Rule" be applied to Negative Categories (Losses and Errors), as well as the categories already effected. By not filling all positions, a team could gain points in these two categories. This, in his opinion, does not reflect the intent of giving the team with the fewest errors and/or loses a bonus of one. The rule change would read as follows: (under IV. Scoring / B. Types of Categories / 3. Negative Categories...)
c. Minimum Player Rule: a team is not eligible for the scoring of 1 point for having the fewest errors if more than one batting position possesses no statistics. A team is not eligible for the scoring of 1 point for having the fewest losses if more than one pitching position possesses no statistics.
